I always scoff at those women's mags with "Lose weight NOW!" which should have in small print "No, our method does not include allowing you to actually EAT anything seen on this delicious looking cover". How sad that BB&B has stooped so low as to cheese out on ads and use the tired old rhetoric of emotionally eating women to promote dishes and scales. Blah. But then if ads didn't play to our own culturally reinforced guilty belief that women were uncontrollable creatures (you know it WAS Eve who took that first bite of apple) then how would they ever guilt us all into buying miracle pills/programs to curb these insatiable cravings that overwhelm our sense of control and moderation each moment!? ;) Fantastic post!
